Marigny

Named for the ‘last Creole gentleman’, the colorful Bernard de Marigny, this Historic Register neighborhood has many well-preserved Creole and shotgun cottages, as well as palatial townhouses and mansions on the grand European-style boulevard of Esplanade Avenue. Within easy walking distance to the French Quarter, the Marigny also boasts Frenchmen Street, with  numerous venues for local jazz music.
